This mortar is shaped with molder, and other processes such as making grinding and glazing are done by hands.
The shape of Suribachi is slightly different from all-handmade version, but the glaze and grinding performance are exactly the same.

Grind the empty mortar with your paste and rinse well.
This makes the mortar and the paste match each other. Also it can get rid of extra glaze.

To clean small particles between the lines, fill it with warm water and let it soak for a while.
Then scrub with natural scrubbing brush along with the line, not against. Rinse well, and turn upside down to dry.
・There might be tiny spots which is densely glazed on mortaring area. It has no problem in practical use.
